ANNA IN THE AFTERLIFE

Polarity Ensemble Theatre seeks actors for Anna in the Afterlife. Auditions will take place November 13, 7-10:30pm; November 15th, 10am-5:30pm; November 17th, 7-10:30pm, November 19, 7-10:30pm.

All auditions will take place at the Greenhouse Theater Center. Rehearsals will take place weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons beginning February 24th 2015. The production runs April 23rd to May 24th 2015 at the Greenhouse Theater Center. There is a small stipend.

Characters needed:
Anna – a novelist in her thirties
Afterlife Anna – An older version of Anna who has experienced the afterlife, later forties or fifties
Little Anna – Anna as a child
Rebecca – Matthew’s teenage daughter
Elliot – a visual artist, gay, in his later forties or fifties
Patty – Matthew’s ex-wife, Rebecca’s mother, in the past, in her thirties/early forties
Shakti – a self-help book writer, “expert” on Kundalini and sex, probably in her thirties
Carol Berge – an older novelist, mentor to young Matthew and Anna, in her fifties approximately
Nurse – a nurse, female, any age
Dipoko – a charismatic African poet and novelist, mentor to young Matthew, no younger than his later thirties
Doctor Galesberg – Matthew’s oncologist, male, no younger than his later thirties
Dad – Matthew’s father, sixties or older
Colin – Anna’s final boyfriend, thirties or forties
Yousef – Moroccan, Anna’s husband, thirties or forties
**Please note the role of Matthew has already been cast. Some actors may be cast in multiple roles.
