The new sci-fi film ‘The 5th Wave’ is in production in the Atlanta area.
There is a new casting call out for extras on the feature sci-fi thriller, “The 5th Wave“.
The film is in production in Atlanta and is casting extras who are between the ages 16 & 17, and 18-25 (that look like teens). The movies extras casting directors at Tammy Smith are seeking movie extras in their later teens as well as young adults to work as background extras in this new movie series. Those cast for the roles need to be available to work on the 1st of next month and must also come in for a fitting this week. See below for full details.
Boys / young men submitting must have short hair or be willing to cut their hair short. The teens will be playing kids that got captured by aliens in this sci-fi flick. Please note that you must be local to the Atlanta area in order to be considered to be an extra on “The 5th Wave“.
“The 5th Wave” is based on the Rick Yancey book also called “The 5th Wave” and is the first of a series of films that are planned in this young adult franchise. The film stars Chloë Grace Moretz as a teen girl named Cassie Sullivan. Yes, Chloe will be fighting aliens very soon.”The 5th Wave” is about a world has just been pretty much obliterated by 4 waves of alien attacks but the worst may be yet to come in the 5th wave. Cassie gets separated from her brother and must now race to find him before the inevitable, 5th wave. Along the way, she meets a mysterious young man named Evan Walker played by Alex Roe who may be her final hope. ‘The 5th Wave‘ will also star Liev Schreiber as the villain and Nick Robinson as ‘Zombie’.
The IMDB description reads as follows – 16-year-old Cassie Sullivan tries to survive in a world devastated by the waves of an alien invasion that has already decimated the population and knocked mankind back to the Stone Age.
Sony Pictures is behind the project which will be coming to movie theaters in January of 2016.

IMPORTANT NOTES
NOTE 1 : ALL YOUNG MEN WILL NEED TO HAVE A SHORT HAIR CUT if the hair isn’t already short. (think private school length- SHORT on the sides and the back and clean cut ) We will provide the hair cut at the fitting
Again, females can have any hair length.
NOTE 2: The work date for THIS group is Mon 12/1 only
HOWEVER, due to UNIFORMS that will be worn, we need to PREFIT all of the kids ahead of time. FITTINGS will be tomorrow TUES 11/18 or WED 11/19 (morning) for a quick fitting for sizing (a 1 hr appointment approx) in the Norcross area (our wardrobe dept location)
NOTE 3: Pay rate is $64 for 8 hrs with OT after that.
Fittings are a 1/4 check pay ($16)
NOTE 4: For 16 & 17 year olds- We will have time to do the required work permit applications AT the fittings- YAY!
