Fox’s Red band Society Now Casting in Atlanta
FOX’s new show, “The Red Band Society” is currently filming season 1 in the Atlanta area.
The new series is about a group of sick kids who all live in a hospital wing. While that may sound a bit depressing, the show is not supposed to be at all. It is actually described as “The Breakfast Club” meets “Glee” by E Online. If you don’t believe it… The cast did a pretty cool music video for the series, you can check that out below.
The new FOX series is brought to us by Steven Spielberg and his company Amblin Television. Academy Award winner Octavia Spenser will star in this coming-of-age story set in the hospital hallways rather than the high schools.
Octavia Spenser plays a worker in the pediatric wing. The show also stars Ciara Bravo of Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush and Nolan Sotillociara of Prom. “The Red Band Society” is based on a Spanish language series called “Polseres Vermelles“, created by Albert Espinosa who was inspired by his own childhood experiences.
The production is currently seeking extras for scenes filming at the end of the month as well as trying to fill some on-going roles for nurses, orderlies and other hospital personnel. For extras, “The Red Band Society” is looking for some frat guys and their girlfriends. Men and women of any ethnicity between the ages of 18 and 21 who are available to work in Atlanta on July 29th and 30th.
