Warner Bros. ‘Vacation’ reboot is in production
Chris Hemsworth, Ed Helms and Christina Applegate will be starring in the Chevy Chase ‘Vacation‘ reboot. The film is scheduled to begin production this September and will be filming in the Atlanta area.
Seems the franchise is coming back and this time Christina Applegate will get shotgun as Rusty Griswald’s wife. Ed Helms will be playing Rusty Griswald, the now grown-up son, Christina Applegate will be his wife, Chris Hemsworth (“Avengers: Age of Ultron“, “Thor“) is in as one of the in-laws and Charlie Day (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia“) plays a rafting guide. There is also rumor that Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo will have small roles or cameo appearances.
The film’s script is written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein who are also set to direct the comedy. According to ComingSoon, Chris Bender, David Dobkin and Jeff Kleeman are producing the New Line / Warner Bros. film.
The film is looking for a stand in for Christina Applegate who is available for multiple days of work between mid September and mid November as well as trucker and waitress types. There is also another casting call for ‘Vacation’ looking for female college types.

This is for Christina Applegate, our female lead in the movie
PLEASE NOTE: we film Sept. 15th thru Nov 15th and we work a Mon-Fri work week. The pay rate is $80/8 hours and we work mostly day scenes with a few night scenes as well.

STANDIN EXPERIENCE, or some THEATER/DRAMA experience, or at least a decent amount of expereience on set as an EXTRA is a must.

This scene works on Sept 19th but the director needs to picture pick these few extras for the scene during prep within the next week
