Relativity Media’s, Zack Galifianakis feature film “Loomis Fargo” is about to begin production in the Asheville area.
The “Hangover” star is a busy man this year. According to IMDB he has 3 films he is working on this year of which is the comedy “Loomis Fargo“. The movie will be filming this summer in Zach’s home state of North Carolina and the project has released a casting call for extras in preparation for the scheduled filming.
The production is looking for general submissions from people who live around the Ashville area and would like to be a part of the feature film. The producers have hired Tona B. Dahlquist Casting to handle background talent in North Carolina. {Production of the project is set to begin on July 7th and most of the filming will be taking place in Ashville except for a small part that will film in Wilmington. The film is also known as “Untitled Armored Car Project“.
The film is described as a comedy caper and centers around The $17.3 million cash robbery of the regional vault of Loomis Fargo & Company in Charlotte in 1997. The particular heist became the largest cash robbery in the United States of the time and was pulled off by the driver of the armored car and his supervisor.
According to IMDB, the film will star Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis and Tyler Craig.
