Alice Has It Under Control – Indie short

Independent Comedic Short Film (15-20 min.), Alice Has It Under Control has a casting call out for actors in the Madison, Wisconsin area. This is a Non-Union, non-paid production. Shoot Dates will be late July – Early August in the Madison. See below for list of available acting roles and submission instructions.
Audition Dates/Location: TBD, Flexible to be Scheduled 7/2 – 7/10, Madison
Synopsis: Straight-laced and proper Alice wakes up with almost no memory of last night’s date. When her wild roommate Roxie tells her that she unknowingly took an experimental drug, Alice is mortified. As they review a partial recording of the eventful and hilarious evening Alice worries that she has ruined her chances with Mr. Right. The recording is cut short before the date is finished, leaving them both to wonder what happened afterwards. An unexpected event causes Alice to recall the rest of the night, leading her to a surprising revelation.
Roles:
Alice – Female – Mid-20’s to Early-30’s
Buttoned down, serious-minded professional. Anxious and nervous in her daily life, she exhibits a much wilder side once the drugs take effect.
Roxie – Female – Mid-20’s to Early-30’s
Alice’s roommate and best friend, as well as her opposite: free-spirited and fun-loving. Roxie tries to talk her friend through a bad situation, having inadvertently caused it by carelessly leaving her “stash” lying around.
Jerrad – Male – Mid-20’s to Early-30’s
Alice’s male counterpart, and the focus of her affection. Buttoned down and overly cautious, he becomes more and more befuddled by Alice’s strange behavior as the date progresses.
Waiter – Male/Female – 20’s-40’s
Server at the restaurant, and witness to the hijinks that ensue.
Extras – Male/Female – 20’s-60’s
Other diners at the restaurant.
We are a new production group made up of professionals with various degrees of experience operating under the title of the Midwest Film Group. This is our first project together, and will hopefully lead to bigger and better things moving forward. We are looking to work with talented, passionate people who believe in creating engaging and entertaining content. This project will be unpaid, but will make a great resume and demo-reel addition.
