“American Crime” TV Series Auditions for Principal / Speaking Role in TX

Audition for a speaking role in ABC TV show

The new season of the ABC series “American Crime” is in production and filming in Texas.

There is a speaking role up for grabs in an episode filming this week and casting directors with Beth Speko are accepting submissions from local actors. The casting call is for the principal speaking role of SEAN, a young adult (17 to 22 years old) African American male. The casting directors are looking for submissions from experienced actors who live in Texas and are available to work on the scene filming this week on the 4th in Austin. They are only considering local actors who have valid TX ID. The role pays SAG scale.

American Crime is created by John Ridley’s (12 Years A Slave) and is an anthology crime drama. The show premiered this last spring on ABC. The show was created by John Ridley and takes on the heavy topic of racial tension in America and gender politics. Season 1 focused on a racially charged murder and the trial that followed. In May, ABC announced that the show will be renewed for a second season to premier mid-season in 2016. According to the show’s Wiki page, Season 2 of the show will focus on a new story with a new set of characters. Actors that appeared in season 1 will be returning for season 2 but will play an entire new set of characters in the new story. T
