“The Dunning Man“, based on the Kevin Fortuna book of the same name, will begin filming in the New Orleans area shortly. The film’s casting directors at Cynthia Stillwell Casting will be holding auditions this week in NOLA for the below listed roles. Auditions are by appointment only. Please follow the directions below to request an audition slot.

CASTING FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
SHARON: 20s HIP-HOP HOT, CONFIDENT, SASSY, GIRLFRIEND OF LEAD.
Willy: 30s/40s, AA OR CAUCASIAN, OWNER OF THE BODY/MECHANIC SHOP
Ticket Guy: open ethnicity, 20s/30s, very defensive and territorial of his “authority”
Doorman: 60s, Caucasian, established doorman at NYC luxury apartment in the Upper East Side
Punk: Early 20s, street savvy African American, athletically built
Talent will be working on SAG modified Low Budget film as LOCALS in New Orleans. Please do not apply if you do not reside in NOLA and are available for live auditions THIS TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.

“The Dunning Man” is based on the book by Kevin Fortuna. The Dunning Man is comprised stories that feature anti-heroes who reject society’s rules. Characters from all walks of life—a rogue hip-hop star, a blackjack dealing mom, a middle-aged drunk plowing through his inheritance, and an empty-nester housewife trying to make peace with the past. They each exist in the here and now, living for what’s possible and what’s left—not what they’ve left behind. Redemption awaits all, but only along the rutted, gut-churning path of honest self-examination.
