Casting call for a new TV show in Pittsburgh
If you live in or around the Pittsburgh area and have always wanted to work as a paid movie or TV show extra…. “Outsiders” is casting in PA!
Production on WGN’s new show “Outsiders” is coming to a close but there is still time to get cast in a small role in the season finale. The show has been filming since the spring in the Pittsburgh area and is now casting extras to work on the season finale next week. The show’s casting directors are seeking Pittsburgh area talent to fill a variety of roles including police, clan members, mountain folks and more. Please see the list of roles below.
The “Outsiders” first season will consist of 13 episodes and is due to premiere on on WGN America in early 2016.
Previously called “Titans,” “Outsiders” stars Thomas M. Wright (“The Bridge”), Ryan Hurst (“Sons of Anarchy”), Joe Anderson and David Morse (“Treme”). The new show is being produced by Peter Tolan and Paul Giamatti, Sony Pictures TV and Tribune Studios. The show focuses on the alternative lifestyle of families living off the grid, in the Appalachians. It the mountains, a power struggle is brewing. The clans living in the area have been there for generations, don’t care much for the law and will do anything to protect their way of life and keep out the intruders.
We are getting in to our LAST episode and we are going to need a variety of people for our final block between Sept 21 and 30th!

WGN has recently released photos of the sets…
According to the Post-Gazatte The exteriors of the shacks on the show were built in the woods of Henry Kaufmann Family Park in Monroeville. The interiors of the same building have been constructed on soundstages at 31st Street Studios in the Strip District.
