SPHERO Looking to Cast Two Teenagers for Upcoming Commercial
High tech toy company, Sphero, will be holding auditions for teens in the Cleveland Ohio area. The commercial will be filming for 2-3 days sometime during mid-end of April.
Sphero is a toy that is controlled by a phone or tablet…. Sphero and Ollie – these robots will change the way you play. Control them from your smartphone or tablet, discover new games and apps, and learn.
Sphero is looking to come to the Cleveland area for their next film project, and are looking to fill some roles. For a quick background, Sphero is a cool company based out of Boulder, Colorado, that specializes in making high-tech little robots (Sphero and Ollie) that you control with your smartphone/tablet. This project will be focusing on Ollie, the cylindrical robot that goes really fast. The project takes place at a warehouse/industrial location in the Cleveland area, and involves driving Ollies around in the space (don’t worry about that part too much). We start off with our Boy and Girl, playing with regular Ollies (the white plastic/blue tires/classic versions). Suddenly, it gets dark, shafts of red light come in with fog, and the Girl’s Ollie turns to the Darkside version (an all black Ollie with black tires and red lights that we are promoting). The Boy runs away, upgrades his own regular Ollie with new accessories, and then returns to the warehouse, ready to confront the Darkside once more.
Basically these roles will be non-speaking (think M83 music video Midnight City).

GIRL: Teenager, 14-18, Caucasian/Ethnic
We are still hashing out our final shoot dates, but we are planning to shoot 2-3 days most likely between April 12th and April 24th. If this sounds like a cool project, please send over a headshot, your availability outlook for these last weeks of April, and a quick bio about yourself and any previous acting experience you may have. I know school is going on probably, so please let us know days and times you would be available (ex: weekdays from 2:30pm to 10:00pm… full day Sat/Sun…)
