The Cinemax non-stop action series, “Banshee” is in production in the Pittsburgh area and looking to cast some paid extras.
The show is now casting male paid background extras in the Pittsburgh PA area. Specifically, they are looking for men who have beards that they are willing to trim into what they call a “chin curtain”. The show is also looking to fill some other roles as well, specifically, party goers and protesters. The scenes will be filming next Monday and Thursday (depending on roles) and talent applying must be able for a long day on set (12 to 14 hours). There is no specific call time yet for the shoot so talent applying must have a pretty flexible schedule and able to work 14 hours straight regardless of start time which may be early or late. Back in February Cinemax announced that the Emmy winning show will return for a 4th season which will be comprised of 8 episodes. Season 4 of “Banshee” will premiere in early 2016. The show is about a criminal named Lucas Hood, an ex-con who comes to the town of Banshee and assumes a new identity…. that of the town’s Sheriff. Once Sheriff, he uses his his new position to help himself along in his criminal enterprises. “Banshee” stars Antony Starr as Lucas Hood. Carrie Hopewell Ivana Milicevic stars as his ex, Carrie Hopewell, who also has assumed a new identity in town. “Banshee” also stars Hoon Lee, Frankie Faison, Ulrich Thomsen, Rus Blackwell, Matt Servitto, and Demetrius Grosse.

MONDAY, JUNE 22: ALWAYS FUN TO PLAY CHARACTER ROLES!
Pay is minimum wage for the first 8 hours and time and a half after that. You should expect a 12-14 hour day that can begin either early or late. Must have reliable transportation to get to set that isn’t the bus as we don’t know where these locations are yet.
We are looking for a large number of Caucasian Men for a protest scene. We need the majority to have BEARDS they are willing to cut into “chin curtains” like the PICTURE BELOW.
The beards do not need to be that long but you must be willing to shave everything from the chin up. Put “BEARD” in the subject line when submitting and indicate how long your beard is and if you’re willing to shave it like the picture. Indicate what color and make your car is.

– Men and Women ages 18+ for a Party scene. Must be ok with seeing nudity, atmosphere smoke, loud music and flashing lights. We need a lot of “tough guys” and attractive women for this scene. Please put “PARTY” when submitting. If you are willing to do nudity, please specify.
