Casting four actors for short film “The Room”

Location: Denver, CO

Type: Film

Looking for two on-screen, and two off-screen actors for a short film. The scene is a non-descript room in an abandoned building somewhere in a Middle-East war zone. Our leads, a husband and wife, are trying to escape the region, but have been betrayed, and are stuck. Two soldiers, off screen, are a threat. The film is an attempt to get to the human experience beyond just the bombs, terrorists and explosions that represent the Middle East when we flick through the nightly news here at home.

The Wife (20-30) – bent but not broken, pretty, harboring a secret.
The Husband (25-35) – worn, betrayed, too gentle to survive in a war zone.

2 Off-screen Soldiers (20-40) – regular guys put in uniform. Could basically care less what happens as long as they survive.

This is a no-budget production. You’ll get credit, a final edit dvd, and food on day of the shoot. I plan on submitting the result to various film festivals, so there should be some exposure. And just as a general note, it’s a story that demands some acting chops, good practice for someone serious about the craft.

If interested, email your headshot (if available), refs/credits, contact info, and a sentence or two why you think you’re right for one of the roles.
