Looking for a role on “Empire”? Read on because “Empire” is casting for season 2.
The FOX hit series, “Empire,” is now filming season 2 and has just released a new casting call for extras to play Jamal’s friends in a scene filming this week in the Chicago area.
The show’s extras casting directors with Chicago’s 4 Star are seeking both male and female talent between the ages of 20 and 35. They are specifically interested in talent that is Hispanic or of Middle Eastern decent. The scene will be filming late night Friday and is expected to go into Saturday morning with a possible wrap time as late… or early as 3AM. Talent interested needs to apply ASAP as they are casting this right now.
“Empire” is created by the team behind “Lee Daniels The Butler“, Lee Daniels and Danny Strong. The two teamed up once again for this edgy, hip hop music oriented drama. Season 1 of the show was a huge hit for FOX and season 2 is now in production and scheduled to premiere on FOX this fall. The series stars Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson and Gabourey Sidibe. “Empire” focuses on self made music mogul Lucious Lyon, played by Terrence Howard and his family run music label, Empire Entertainment.
“Empire” films in the Chicago area and the casting directors are only considering background talent that is local to the area.
