The Weight She Carries

We will be shooting scenes from our feature script to create a proof-of-concept trailer.
Shooting will take place over three days during the third week of November. This project is non-union and UNPAID.
Character bios:
Alex [female] – Late 20’s to early 30’s. Race Open. Fit/Athletic build. She is an Iraq and Afghanistan war veteran who has seen combat. She suffers from PTSD. She’s having trouble reconnecting with her family. Her goal is to become “normal” again and rejoin her family emotionally. Beneath her tough exterior is vulnerability and sensitivity.
Mike [male] – Late 20’s to early 30’s. Race Open. Fit to average build. He is Alex’s husband. He is a devoted and supportive husband and father to their 6-year-old daughter. An overall good guy who has to navigate through his own moral dilemma.
Riley [male] – Late 20’s to early 30’s. Race Open. Fit/Athletic build. He is a military veteran and Alex’s friend. He suffers from PTSD. Unlike Alex, his pain is well hidden. While he and Alex often butt heads, they only want the best for each other.
Samantha [female] – Late 20’s to early 30’s. Race Open. Fit/Athletic build. Alex and Mike’s neighbor. Although sincere, Samantha is bubblier than she needs to be and it rubs Alex the wrong way. She helped Mike with babysitting while Alex was on deployment. She has developed deep feelings for both Mike and his daughter. She is the source of the moral dilemma Mike must navigate.
