“This One Time…” A grown up fairy tale seeks to cast 10 roles. 4 main roles and 6 ensemble roles.

“This One Time…” is a dark/shock comedy, set to music, written by Jordan Goette, directed by Jenny Ewen, with original music by James Ewen. The show is designed to make people laugh, gasp, feel terrible, all while teaching a nice little lesson.
Character breakdown:
Lady Trixi: (Mid-late 20s). The “evil” stepmother of the show. Tall. Elegant. Stylish. Snobbish and some what immature.
Cyndy: (Early 20s). Lazy. Whiny. Unrealistically optimistic. Entitled. This isn’t a musical, per se, but able to carry a tune and improv skills are a must.
Narrator: (20s-early 30s). Needs to have a booming, God-like, perfect for radio voice.
Prince Richard: (Mid 20s). Regal. Self-aware. Mild mannered. Genuine.
6-7 ensemble/background performers. (Any age.) Will be playing multiple roles. Must be comfortable with physical comedy and a little improvisation. 3 male ans 3 female.
All roles must be comfortable with crude humor, crass language, and some what adult situations. A small stipend may be offered depending on the success of show.
All shows will take place in the thrust at the U of M Rarig Center. Show dates are: 7/30 at 10pm. 8/1 at 1pm. 8/3 at 7pm. 8/7 at 10pm. 8/9 at 4pm. There will also be a three hour tech rehearsal in the space that is TBD.
Auditions will be held Friday, May 22: 8- 930 pm. And Saturday, May 23: 4-7pm at Julianne’s Dance Center. Located at 222 Concord Exchange N. South St. Paul, MN. 55075.
