Disney Show “Festival of the Lion King” is holding open auditions for singers in the NYC area
The Disney casting directors will be auditioning both male and female singers. The show will be performed at Walt Disney World in Florida. The show is a live, on stage celebration of the colorful characters in the Disney classic story, “The Lion King.” The on going show is filled with pageantry and puppetry big as the Broadway show. “Festival of the Lion King” celebrates Simba, the lion cub who would be king. In the show Simba is now at home in Africa and the production is performed at the new Harambe Theater!
Male and Female Vocalists for Festival of the Lion King
Disney Creative Entertainment is seeking male and female vocalists for Festival of the Lion King; an African-inspired celebration of the music from the feature film; an original musical theatre production performed live in the NEW state of the art, indoor, 1500 seat theatre-in-the-round in Disney’s Animal Kingdom®, performed live at the Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, FL.

Potential relocation packages may be available to qualified performers that are hired into specific roles.
Performers employed by the Walt Disney World Resort are covered under the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with Actors’ Equity Association.
Festival of the Lion King:
- Kiume: The Leader. Must have a strong and powerful presence; Male resonant baritone/bass. 5’10” – 6’2″
- Zawadi: The Gift. “Mother Earth” to all who know her. Female gospel mezzo-soprano with high belt. 5’5″ – 5’8″
- Nakawa: The Prince. Good looking and confident. Male pop/R&B second tenor. 5’8″ – 5’10”
- Kibibi: The Princess. Sweet and impatient. Female pop/gospel second soprano with high belt to E. 5’4″ – 5’8″

Requirements:
Performers must be at least 18 years of age.
Please provide a current headshot and resume.
Prepare 16 bars of a musical selection and provide sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided.
