Synopsis:
Set in a not too distant futuristic “cyber café/spa”, Erin (seen as an adult) happily interacts with friends via video screens, while reclining, relaxing, and receiving her regular social media “treatment” through tubes inserted into her arms. As her personal data is drawn from her — likely for dubious reasons — Erin’s realizes that she and her friends are being progressively disfigured by the process. She rebels, pulling the tubes from her arms, unleashing a torrent of multi-coloured “blood” that evolves to visual data. Erin evades the severe cyber attendant, scoops up her data — and bolts out of view. Now depicted as a teenager, Erin is seen to be but a single node in a vast network of willing victims, blithely being disfigured while they provide their personal data for the benefit of the social media industry.

Auditions will be held on Sunday February 8th, 2015 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at the “Shirley Temple” production office inside the Centre for Social Innovation Annex located at 215 Spadina Avenue, Toronto, 4th floor. The street entrance door may be locked – so please be on time.
