Pioneer Theatre Company in Salt Lake City will be holding auditions for their production of “Fiddler on the Roof”.
Fiddler on The Roof – “Without our traditions, our lives would be as shaky as a fiddler on the roof!”
One of the most beloved musicals of all time, with an enduring score featuring “Tradition,” “Matchmaker,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” and “Sunrise, Sunset.” Fiddler on the Roof is a musical for fathers and daughters, daughters and mothers, husbands and wives—in short, a musical for the whole family!
“Fiddler on the Roof” is based on Sholem Aleichem stories by special permission of Arnold Perl. Book by Joseph Stein. Music by Jerry Bock.
The production will be directed and Choreographed by Karen Azenberg.
Open auditions for kids 7 to 12 years old
Friday, May 29, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Each audition slot is 3 minutes. All auditions will be asked to audition with a song from American classic musical theatre.
Callbacks will be held the following day, Saturday, May 30, 2015 – Callbacks will be by invitation only. Call backs will include reading from sides provided and dancing.
Those selected for call backs will be given their time slots.
Please note that auditions will be limited to only 3 minutes per child.
All auditioners must come in to sign up on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre; that sign-up will be posted at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015.

Rehearsal dates for the production are Monday, August 24, 2015 – Thursday, September 17, 2015.
Performance dates are September 18 – October 3, 2015. Artistic Director Karen Azenberg will direct and choreograph the production.
