Sony’s superhero TV show “Powers” is now filming season 2 in the Atlanta area and looking to cast background actors to play detectives and folks with special powers.
The show’s casting directors are looking for background talent to fill a few roles available this week. They are seeking talent to play a pair of detectives filming tomorrow and Thursday in the Norcross area as well as talent with unique looks to to play people with super powers being arrested.
The streaming series airs on Sony’s Playstation platform and is available to all Playstation plus subscribers. “Powers” focuses on a pair of detectives who track down and arrest people called Powers. In the Powers world, super powers are not all that uncommon but not everyone who has superpowers is actually a hero. Sharlto Copley stars as Christian Walker, an ex superhero who after losing his unique powers becomes a cop. He along with his partner, Deena Pilgrim, played by Michelle Forbes, track down powers who have turned to crime.
“Powers” is based on the comic series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming. The new season of “Powers” will premiere in 2016.
