“Vampire Diaries” is looking for a few good vampires available to work on the show mid month.
CW’s supernatural series “Vampire Diaries” is now filming the 2016 season in Atlanta, Georgia. The new casting call is looking for some tough, edgy types. They are casting both male and female extras of any ethnicity between the ages of 21 and 35.
The show has a few upcoming scenes and needs background talent to fill various small roles. Besides tough looking vampires, the show is also seeking talent to play shamans. For the shaman’s roles the show is looking to cast Native American or Hispanic talent that can pass for Native American. Seems the scene will be filming in a tight place because one of the requirements happens to be that talent not be claustrophobic.
The “Vampire Diaries” is now in it’s 7th season. The supernatural / Fantasy drama series is developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec. The show is based on the book series of the same name, “Vampire Diaries,” by author L. J. Smith. The show focuses on the relationship between Vampire brothers and a woman named Elena played by Nina Dobrev. Kevin Williamson ( “Scream“) & Julie Plec serve as executive producers along with Leslie Morgenstein (“Gossip Girl,” “Pretty Little Liars“) and Smallville’s Caroline Dries.
In the show, Damon and Stefan Salvatore, have been living as vampires for centuries. After years of moving from from place-to-place to hide their eternal youth (and bloodthirsty condition), the brothers return to the small Virginia town, Mystic Falls, where their lives as humans ended. Damon is snarky, handsome and charming, with a propensity for evil, while Stefan tries to remain noble — in part to atone for bad behavior in his past.
The popular CW supernatural themed series also has a spin-off called “The Originals.” That show also films in the Atlanta area and has been releasing extras casting notices as well.
The show films in the Atlanta area and is only considering submissions from local actors / talent.

The casting directors are only seeking talent that lives in the Atlanta area and will not be considering extras from out of town. If you submit with a phone number that is not local to the Atlanta area, please indicate whether or not you live in Atlanta in order to be considered.
The new season premiered this last October. The show airs on the CW Network Thursday nights.
In “Vampire Diaries” season 7 the cast is rattled by Elena Gilbert’s goodbye. The new season begins with some characters recovering and others not so much. Lily tries to drive a wedge between the Salvatore brothers and everyone is wondering whether Stefan and Caroline’s love story is strong enough to survive.
