Why Don’t You Like Me? Non-union, Independent, Small Budget web series / short film project is seeking actors in the Chicago, Illinois area. Both lead and supporting roles are open.

Thirty days before she is evicted, a neurotic, yet hopeful city transplant meets with a series of eccentric roommates to find a place where she belongs.

Emily, 25 (main)
Emily is a neurotic, overly-organized, yet hopeful recent city transplant, working as an assistant at a publishing company. Resilient and friendly, Emily sees the greener side of things in life and tries always to please others.
Nikki, 25 (main)
Nikki is an artistically-unfulfilled writer with an independent and deadpan personality. Very chill and open, Nikki boasts an inner confidence about who she is.
Amethyst, 28 (supporting)
Amethyst cares only about her art. Pretentious, highbrow, and hotheaded, Amethyst judges anyone who she feels isn’t on par with her creativity.
Charlotte, 25 (supporting)
Incredibly chipper and fond of the excessive use of axioms, Caitlin blurs the line between overwhelmingly sweet and kind to outrageously annoying.
Nora, 34 (supporting)
Nora is a longtime, zealous middle manager who takes her mundane job too seriously. Dismissive of most, Nora has a tough exterior filled with anger, lack of any attention span, and a tough exterior.
Caitlin, 19 (supporting)
Caitlin is an incredibly wealthy and privileged college sophomore, with a strong love for her sorority. Unaccustomed with the realities of the world and lacking a real job, Caitlin doesn’t mind having a glass of wine in her luxurious apartment during the day, everyday.
Emma, 25 (supporting)
Emma is a straightedge and an obsessive note-taking personality. Emma plays by the rules with a no nonsense attitude.
