In search of two strong Female actresses who are capable of presenting a very realistic emotional connection between mother and daughter. No prior film experience is required. However, Prior acting experience (Community theatre, Acting classes, etc.) is preferred.
‘Wistful’ is short film about a young woman named Nora who decides to pay her deranged mother a visit after years of separation. Nora regrets her past decisions and tries to find closure with her mother, Mrs. Montgomery, with hopes that the detachment between them will eventually pass over. ‘Wistful’ explores the emotional side of finding closure and common ground with those you truly care about. Regardless of their wrong doing it is never too late to ask for forgiveness, to forgive or to move on.
Character Breakdown
Nora Montgomery – NORA, young woman who appears to be in her mid to late 20’s.
Mrs. Montgomery – (Nora’s Deranged mother)- older woman in her mid 50’s early 60’s.
Officer Curtis- Male or Female. Mid 20’s – early 40’s. Tall (5’7 minimum) and preferably athletic.
Please submit a one minute video of yourself performing a dramatic monologue. If selected you will receive the sides for whichever role you have submitted for within 2 business days. Remember to slate your name, age, location and the character who you are reading for before beginning the audition. Please make sure the video is well lit, centered and positioned correctly (Your full face and shoulders are in shot and your camera is in focus) Also, make sure the audio is clear and the video is of reasonably good quality. Failure to properly follow procedures may unfortunately lead your audition to be overlooked. We cannot wait to review all of your submissions!
