Auditions in Boston for Musical Theater Production of “In The Heights”

Come audition for “In the Heights”

Location: Boston, MA

Type: Theater

Hey Boston!

The Beantown Players, a brand-new Non-equity group of young amateurs in the Greater Boston area who love theater, are working on staging a musical production of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “In the Heights”.
Do you love to sing? Do you dance around your room when no one is home? Or perhaps you’d prefer to make magic backstage as a tech?
Whether or not you have experience, come audition to be a part of our fledgling production! We may be a brand new group, but we are passionate and excited about this production, and need your help to make it happen!
We all have our day jobs, but we also want to have some fun with this production, so hope to see you at the audition!

For the audition, you will be reading sides from the script (provided) as well as singing a song of your choice from the show (to an accompaniment-only track, provided.) We want this to be as little stress as possible, so neither need to be memorized.

If you are called back, you will be given a different selection from the script, as well as a different song from the show. This time, both will need to be memorized.

If you’re auditioning for a role that requires dancing, please also wear or bring comfortable dance attire, as you will be required to learn a short dance/movement combination.

Note that this show is about a cast of characters in a predominantly Latinx/Hispanic neighborhood, but we welcome submissions from adults of all ethnicities, ages and genders.

Resumes and headshots are useful, but not necessary.

Please note that your participation will be UNPAID – we are all just doing this for fun and the love of theatre!
