WANTED: 2 Adult Supports to act alongside talented child actors in a fun Disney-style short film!

MARCUS TAILER – SUPPORT (30-40) (Male) (Australian Accent)
Synopsis:
Richard, a shy and creative twelve year old, who isn’t the best at making friends, is forced by his apathetic parents to move to the foreign land of Griskenia. Defiant, Richard refuses to accept the change and learn the language despite his need for a companion. And so, Richard creates Rocky, a pet rock who’s friendly nature and playfulness brings Richard happiness. However Rocky, no matter how lively he may seem, is still an immobile pet rock. His parents push Richard to make a real friend by learning the language. But instead, Richard tries to help Rocky overcome his immobility so he can become the real friend he needs. Along the way however, Richard discovers there are deeper limitations to a pet rock that he cannot overcome without the help of a real friend.
Auditions:
Session 1 – Sunday 24th July 2:40pm-6pm
Session 2 – Monday 25th July 1pm-4pm
QUT Kelvin Grove
Production:
Shooting between Saturday the 6th and Saturday the 13th of August in Brisbane.
