An emotionally distant and socially reserved 38-year-old single mother of an 18 year old and a victim of past emotional/physical domestic abuse. Protective of her daughter. Portrayed as a delusional because of her tendency to dwell on things that seem to be false. Key emotions/feelings: moderate paranoia, suppressed feelings of affection or attachment, morbidity.
Carrie (Lead), open ethnicity, female
A lively, extroverted 18 year old. Authoritative in her relationships, tends to steamroll conversations. Unusual; obsessed with serial killers and other oddities, very little self-awareness.
Max , open ethnicity, open gender
A nerdy 18 year old and recovering pushover. Serious and passionate in his pursuits; dry humor.
