AUDITIONS for the Stephen Schwartz musical GODSPELL, with book by John-Michael Tebelak, will be held on Mon, March 7th and Wed, March 9th at 7:30PM at the Summit Playhouse (10 New England Ave, Summit, NJ) with callbacks on Thurs, March 10th.
Seeking a multi-ethnic, spiritually diverse cast of adults ages 18 to 80 and a few younger actors (9-17 years). Need strong singers/actors who can move well, particularly for the roles of Jesus and Judas (vocal range A3-G5 for both). The cast will be larger than the traditional 10 characters.
Prepare a short song or 16 bars of an up-tempo and a ballad. Bring sheet music; accompaniment provided. Also be ready to move and to read from sides.
Direction and choreography by Carol Cornicelli and Musical Direction by Marsha Schreier. Production dates are Fri and Sat, May 6 & 7, 13 & 14, and 20 & 21 at 8:00 pm and Sun, May 15 & 22 at 2:00 pm.
