Seeking a man’s man military-type male actor for survival trek narrative commercial film. Shooting August 16-17 in southern Illinois. Prefer ages 35-45. Any ethnicity, and tattoos are fine. Docudrama style showcasing features and benefits for a product. Knowledge of survival skills/outdoor skills a plus (repelling, hiking, bouldering, etc.). Some speaking required, so on-screen presence must be strong.
Prefer local to Southern Illinois if possible — low budget project, minimal travel coverage is available.
Ideal actor is 30-50 years old, hardcore survivalist male. Pushes himself to the limits. Ex-military a plus. This film follows him on a survival trek through tough terrain. If there’s a hard way to do something, that’s what he goes for — doesn’t settle for easy. Any ethnicity. Prefer strong-looking, and tattoos are fine.
Some questions I’ll have for applicants:
– Total pay is $600, probably long days (sunrise to sunset), though you’ll have plenty of chances for rest during scene setups and location moves.
– Travel budget is minimal. I’m thinking you’d need to be in the area for a total of three nights (we’d like to have a short production meeting the night before the shoot starts), and I’m looking at me and my crew possibly camping. Is that an option for you, or would you need a hotel for any/all of those nights?
– Are you comfortable in caves, repelling, being near cliffs, and being near drones?
