AUDITIONS FOR MUSICAL STAGE PLAY

There will be auditions held for the staged version of the original musical “Pink Princess the Musical” written by Ametra Self. There will be a mandatory rehearsal scheduled for three months prior to the show which will run in October for Breast Cancer awareness month.

Auditions will be held on Thursday, March 3rd and Friday, March 4th between 9:00am and 5:00pm Downtown Chicago. Make up and Dance auditions will take place on Saturday, March 5th between 10:00am and 1:30pm South Holland, Illinois.

We are looking for a group of all ages who can act, sing and dance. If not all three, at least show us what you can do. You will do a cold read at the audition and you are required to sing 32 bars of a song from a musical of your choice.

There is a stipend pay per show (Not including rehearsals.)

ROLES:

HOPE DAVENPORT: Lead, 18-25, African American. Hope is a modeling instructor who has a passion of becoming a well known model. Her life goes perfectly fine until she gets a big shock that she never expected.

TRAVIS HUNTER: Lead, 18-25, African American. Travis is a famous actor that is ambushed by fans and paparazzi everyday of his life. He loves the good life, but he shows that other things and people could be more important than any award he has ever received.

CHANNIECE HUNTER: Lead, 9-12, African American. Channiece is the youngest sister of Travis and one of the students of Hope. She helps them open their eyes to what’s important in life and how it could be each other.

VIVIKA MORGAN: Lead, 40-50, Any Ethnicity. Vivika is the mother of Travis’s best friend. She has had cancer for years and takes everyday slowly and surely, but never forgets that God is always by her side.

ROBERT MORGAN: Supporting, 18-25, Any Ethnicity. Robert is the best friend of Travis. He’s always in support of Travis but has his mother on his mind always. He wants to be sure she battles her cancer and win.

TINA SCOTT: Supporting, 18-25, Any Ethnicity. Tina is the best friend of Hope. They grew up together and Tina is like a conscious to Hope when she needs to be.

ZOLA HUNTER: Supporting, 40-50, African American. Zola is the mother of Travis and grew up with Vivika since elementary school. She’s a helping hand with her friend and wants to be sure Vivika lives her life to the fullest.

TOYA HUNTER: Supporting, 9-12, African American. Toya is the middle sister of Channiece and Travis.

 

ENSEMBLE ROLES ARE AVAILABLE TO THOSE WHO ARE NOT CAST AS A LEAD OR SUPPORTING ROLE.

(ALL ROLES ARE IMPORTANT, ESPECIALLY HAVING AN ENSEMBLE.)
