Casting Call for Kids, Teens and Adult Extras in Atlanta for FOX Film “Hidden Figures”

Casting call for African American kids and adults for Hidden Figures aka “To The Moon and Back”

MHC in Atlanta is now casting paid movie extras for an upcoming FOX film about African American scientists that contributed to the US space program during the space race years of the last decade. This is a period piece set in the 50s and 60s, so the movies casting team is looking for background talent that can pull off a 50s look. They are looking for talent with natural looks, no weaves, modern hair cuts, tattoos, piercings, etc.

The upcoming film currently called “Hidden Figures“,  centers on African American Mathematicians who worked for NASA during that time and helped launch John Glenn into space. The film is based on “Hidden Figures: The Story of the African-American Women Who Helped Win the Space Race,”  published by Harper Collins and written by Margot Lee Shetterly. The film project recently held an open casting call in the Atlanta area (see Open Casting Call Announced for Feature Film “Hidden Fugures” Starring Taraji P. Henson in GA),  but they will be needing many more extras. If you missed the open call, no worries because MHC is accepting email submissions from Atlanta locals as well.

The book and upcoming movie adaptation is about unrecognized African American women who worked behind the scenes to help launch John Glenn  into space and American history. Deadline reported earlier that being considered for the film where top actresses such as Oprah Winfrey, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Taraji P. Henson (“Empire“), who, reportedly, has a lead role in the film. The female lead in FOX’s hit series “Empire” Taraji P. Henson will play the math genius Katherine Johnson.
