Host Description:
Our ideal show host is a vibrant and confident personality, radiating with a contagious but never cloying level of excitement and passion. The host projects an air of authority and command over the highly technical subject matter, while delivering this content in an approachable tone. In addition to being able to deliver the content of the show verbally, the host will be required to demonstrate various skills and procedures involving InfoSec technology and equipment.

THIS ROLE IS MULTI-DISCIPLINARY IN NATURE AND WILL REQUIRE A STRONG BACKGROUND IN COMPUTING/INFOSEC AS WELL AS A GREAT ON-CAMERA PRESENCE. DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS CASTING CALL WITHOUT REVIEWING THE QUALIFICATIONS LISTED BELOW.

The role of Show Host is a part-time contract to start but with advancement opportunities that will include leadership roles in show production and content development as well as Ecommerce management. The ideal candidate is looking for an opportunity to grow with our team and gradually take on more responsibilities as the project succeeds. DO NOT apply for this role if your only professional interest is in acting – we are looking for a long-term partner in the Information Security community and developing a successful/profitable brand around this content marketing platform.

Compensation: $100/episode for the first 6 episodes, LTE contract to start.

Qualifications:

  • Technical background. Ideally you are already in the information security industry. Can speak to technical topics. Ex: can you explain to someone not in infosec what a buffer overflow is?
  • Proficient with linux and experience programming. Can quickly absorb concepts if not familiar with them.
  • On-Camera/Stage Experience.
  • Comfortable reading copy / being in front of a camera
  • Not overpromising and under-delivering.
  • Excitement radiates from you.
  • Reside in Orange or LA County.

You will be obligated to work on at least two days of the month: once for rehearsal, once to film, and possibly a partial day for a pickup shoot or an on location shoot. We can work with you on which days this will be based on your availability, as long as we can arrive at a schedule that will be consistent from month to month.

Don’t have some of the above but you’re still super interested? That’s great – tell us about what you’re lacking and what you have to offer! A great personality, capable attitude, and the ability to show up and learn are of primary importance. So if you’re ready to make it happen, let’s talk.
