It’s that time again, the Baby Gap and Kids Gap open casting call for baby models and cute kids is on now.
As before, The Gap is looking to cast baby models and children. Babies, children and toddlers between the ages of newborn and 4 years old can be entered into the BabyGap model search. Kids ages 5 to 12 may enter the the GapKids model search.
Every year the GAP clothing company runs a baby model talent search & photo competition. The online baby, toddler and kids model search is asking parents to upload photos of their adorable youngsters. The company is looking for kids and babies of all ethnicities to feature in the GAP catalog. The 2016 BabyGAP and GAPKids model auditions just kicked off. Once submissions close, parents will be able to see the approved photos online. The Gap casting directors will then pick the winners. Baby photos being entered will not automatically appear in the gallery. Photos of the kids in the model search will need to be approved by staff which may take one or two days. Those that make it into the gallery will be emailed with details. If your child’s photos are selected for the next round, parents will be emailed. Those in line to win the grand prize will be notified through email and snail mail between mid June and the Beginning of July 2016.

This year, there are some great prizes for the cutest kids. According to the casting call…
As before there will be 4 grand prizes awarded, baby boy, baby girl, kids boy and kids girl. This year the winning families will get a trip to New York City, a photoshoot , some spending cash and a gift card.
There will be four (4) Grand Prizes and each will receive a 3-day, 2-night trip to New York City during the week of July 4th to attend the Gap campaign photo shoot for the child who appears in the winning entry and one parent/legal guardian. The trip will include round-trip, coach class air transportation from a major gateway airport nearest the winner’s home to New York City, two nights’ hotel accommodation (single room/double occupancy), ground transportation to/from airport and photo shoot, $250 stipend, $500 Gap gift card and a professional and digital print from the photo shoot to be delivered to the Grand Prize winner at a later date.

GAP is asking parents to upload a recent photo of their child. Parents have between now and 5/31/16 to get their photo submissions in. After the last day of this month, photos submission will close and the voting will begin. According to The Gap site…. “Pictures will be judged on (1) Personality of Child as expressed in the Photograph (34%); (2) Appearance of Child in the Photograph (33%); and (3) Individuality of the Child as expressed in the Photograph (33%).”

No professional pictures. Snapshots are fine for pretty much any casting call for babies, toddlers and kids.
