Barking Brave, a Comedy, Drama holding auditions for non-paid roles in Denver Colorado.
In this short film (Mary) a six year old girl sees her friends playing out front and opens her bedroom door to run out and play. Instead she finds a vicious looking dog staring back at her. Mary goes through a series of attempts to face and pass the dog to get to her friends playing out front.
A small group from the Boulder Film Incubator is producing a no budget short film called Barking Brave by Kathleen Nuz Kirkman. In this short film (Mary) a six year old girl sees her friends playing out front and opens her bedroom door to run out and play. Instead she finds a vicious looking dog staring back at her. Mary goes through a series of attempts to face and pass the dog to get to her friends playing out front.
We will be auditioning for the main character, a six year old girl, facing her fear of dogs. We are looking for an expressive actresses between the ages of five and seven. The script requires the actress to do a cartwheel or somersault and have some interaction with a dog.
The audition date is on April 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a location TBD. The rehearsal date is April 23rd and filming is on April 30 and May 1. Any actress auditioning needs to be available for all dates.
