“The Leisure Seeker” now filming in Atlanta, GA
Helen Mirren and Donald Sutherland are teaming up once again on the upcoming movie, “The Leisure Seeker.” The film is now in production in the Atlanta area and Atlanta’s CL Casting is looking for talent to fill a few small, non-speaking roles.
According to Deadline, “The Leisure Seeker” is a road trip film about a retired couple who take-off on an adventure in a Winnebago. The film is inspired by the book written by Michael Zadoorian. Italian director Paulo Virzi, is heading up the project. This will be the second time that Mirren and Sutherland play an on screen couple. The pair starred in the 90s film, “Bethune: The Making of a Hero.” The film is still listed in development on IMDB so not much is known about the release date or additional cast.
The Amazon listing for the novel describes the film as a sort of Easy Rider meets The Notebook… The Leisure Seeker, is a story of two seniors who escape from their retirement home and embark upon a hilarious and touching end-of-life road trip.
