Looking to audition for “Empire?”
Fox’s hip hop drama “Empire” is back for season 3 and now casting in Chicago.
The show’s casting directors have released a few more casting calls for upcoming roles in the new season of “Empire,” some of which may be recurring roles. The show is filming the new season in the Chicago, Illinois area and is looking to cast teen actors to play the teenage versions of the show’s lead characters, Cookie and Lucious, as well as a few others.
“Empire” tells the story behind Empire Entertainment, a family run music empire. Terrence Howard stars as the n\man behind the record label, Lucious Lyon. Cookie, played by Taraji P. Henson, is his ex wife who went to prison for him years ago and is now back and looking to get what she believes is owed to her, a piece of the pie.
Fox’s “Empire” is written by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, the team behind “Lee Daniels: The Butler.“ “Empire” was picked up by FOX for season 3 which is now filming in the Chicago area. Tariji P. Henson, who plays Cookie, received a Golden Globe for her portrayal of the Lyon family matriarch.
