Artistic director Lily Verlaine and productress extraordinaire Nadine Dubois have combined forces for the third annual incarnation of Minneapolis’ newest holiday tradition, “Visions of Sugarplums: A Burlesque Nutcracker” This is a paid employment opportunity.
8 Performances between December 22-31
The show seeks to employ dancers with strong dance and theater backgrounds.
One male and one female full-cast member
One male and one female understudy/alternate
We seek to cast dancers in the following disciplines:
- Ballet
- Pointe
- Jazz
- Tap
- Burlesque/Striptease
- Physical Comedy
- Mime
Adult humans of all ages, sizes, genders and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Most, but not all roles require artful, partial nudity (pasties and g strings are always worn.)
Dance wear and high heeled character shoes are the preferred audition attire. Please bring pointe or tap shoes if you are strong in those areas. You will learn various combinations from the show, so please arrive warm and ready to dance.
