Fox is rebooting “24” and the show is holding an open casting call.
“24” is coming back to TV with a new cast. The show is about to begin production in and around the Atlanta area and “24” will be needing lots of local talent to fill numerous small, non-speaking background roles. Central Casting will be holding open casting calls in their Atlanta offices for the next few weeks. Talent interested in landing a small role can stop by their office located on Peachtree to fill out paperwork and register. Filming of “24: Legacy” will begin in September.
The original series starred Kiefer Sutherland as an agent trying to stop an attack… hour by hour. According to Deadline, the new “24” TV series, named “24: Legacy,” will be following the same format as the original, a real time progression of events with an hour by hour time frame for episodes. FOX has ordered 12 episodes (not 24) for season 1 and Kiefer Sutherland is one of the series executive producers. Also producing “24: Legacy” are Howard Gordon, Brian Grazer, Manny Coto, Evan Katz and Stephen Hopkins who is also directing the show.
FOX has set a huge premiere date for episode 1 of “24: Legacy.” The show is currently set to premier on February 5th, right after the super bowl. Also according to Deadline, this will be the network’s first drama to have its world premiere after the nation’s most-watched TV event. FOX also has the following night set for the 2nd half of the premier, which is set to be a 2 night event. After the 2 night premiere, the show will air Monday nights on FOX.
According to the show’s IMDB page, “24: Legacy” will star Straight Outta Compton actor, Corey Hawkins. Hawkins, a military hero who returns to the U.S. with a whole lot trouble following him back. With nowhere else to turn, the man asks CTU to help him save his life while also stopping one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.

We are beginning prep shortly on a new FOX series, 24:LEGACY! The clock ticks again! This time with a new cast but the same adrenaline fueled race against the clock you all know and love.
This will begin shooting throughout the Atlanta area in September.
