Living in a rustic country village, a struggling young shoemaker has to stand up against conformity after his sick wife is put through an extreme ordeal by his in-laws because of their devout religious believes.
EYNAUD (mid – late 20s): A hard worker. Not surprising for a young man who lives in a country village with nothing much to give. He loves to write even though he knows that he can’t really make a living out of it but rather uses his writings to understand his purpose in life and perhaps hope for a better tomorrow. He has a rather sour relationship with his in-laws because of their overly devout religious believes.
ÇYSKA (20s): Eynaud’s wife. Very pretty but not aware of it. She makes and sells beaded jewellery. She is the most happier of all family members as she does not take the hardships of the life they are living too seriously. She is the reason Eynaud works so hard to make ends meet.
ANDEN (60s): Çyska’s father. Overly religious and very Intimidating. He believes he has got everything all figured out. He highly disapproves of Eynaud and whatever ideas he has on anything; in fact, he believes that Eynaud should never have gotten married to his daughter in the first place.
