Location: Vallejo, CA
Vallejo Shakespeare in the Park would like to invite hard working and brave artists to tell the story of a civilization on the verge of demise. What happens when a country’s leaders abdicate their responsibility and misplace their loyalty? Can a beacon of civilization survive poor leadership? We are looking to fill most roles (Lavinia is precast), and we strongly encourage actors of ALL backgrounds to come out. Vallejo Shakespeare fully embraces non-traditional casting, and are open to both males and females playing all roles, as a diverse and non-traditional cast can more accurately represent our community and audience.
Most actors will be asked to play multiple roles, as we tell this story of Titus (non-equity). We rehearse evenings Monday-Thursday in Vallejo. Actors will be paid a stipend of $150 as well as a passing the hat at each performance. The show travels from Vallejo, to Martinez, Oakland and then back to Vallejo. Show dates are: July 29th – July 30th in Vallejo at Hanns Park, August 6th in Martinez at Susana Park, August 12th- 13th in Oakland at the Peralta Hacienda in Fruitvale and 18th – 19th in Vallejo, location TBD.
Auditions are first come-first served. Cold read from script.
