Abby Patricia Bennett and Arthur Timothy Bennett are very identical twins. Like most twins, they can often tell what the other is thinking. And they often wear matching outfits. Abby and Arthur love being twins, because sometimes they look so alike, some people can’t tell who is who. Sometimes they try to look different when people can’t tell them apart, but they know they are both special as twins. They love sports, games, outdoor actives, and being healthy. They often give advice to those who need it. Abby and Arthur are 6 yrs. old. They live with their mom and dad on 643 Double Tree Road, Oakland, NJ. They always appear together in each of their scenes, and they sometimes finish each other’s sentences.

Annie is kind, thoughtful, smart, goofy, worldly and adventurous. She’s not afraid to try new things and meet new people. Annie introduces herself to Peter and the two develop a strong friendship. Annie has been diagnosed with ADHD. She teaches Peter how to make friends. Because she has a disability, like Peter Huntley, she becomes firm friends with Peter, and also his best friend. In some ways, she’s basically a girl version of Peter Huntley. She has a heart of gold and the curiosity of a kitten. Young and ignorant, but wise enough to know that she is ignorant. And that is the lesson of Annie’s character. Annie helps Peter in the outside world and becomes a loyal and true-blue friend to him. Annie loves to sing, and to write songs. She was inspired to write songs by Peter. Because they both know what it’s like to feel different, and because they both think in a similar way, they become best friends. She’s 6 yrs. old.

Hubert “Hubie” Patrick MacHappy is really over sensitive, easily frightened and afraid of many things. He is paranoid, and can imagine things worse than they really are. He almost always speaks with a stutter. Since he believes girls of having the dreaded cooties, he carries an open umbrella which he calls his “Cootie-Protector.” He has false beliefs and feels like a big coward. But sometimes even he can face his fears. Hubie is 6 years old. He lives with his mom, dad, and younger twin siblings Patrick and Emma, at 628 Appletree Road, Oakland, NJ. Hubie has overreacting habits. But he always means well. His favorite game is chess, and he’s a bit of an Einstein, but he’s really nice. He also gets scared of newcomers, but warms up to them in time. He also reads about his many fears in a large book, “The Great Big Book of Myths, Legends and Tall Tales.”

Penelope “Penny” Rosa Gibling is a fashionista, she always tries out new looks, and loves to shop! She always knows the latest sales, but values her relationship with her friends more. While Annie is a tomboyish girl, Penny is a girly-girl. She can be very vain, and talks about clothes, looks and cuteness in every conversation. But don’t let this fool you. She’s not spoiled at all, even if she seems snooty. She always knows clothes are one thing, but friends another. She is very vain and fancy, but twice as nice. Penny’s father, Mr. Gibling, is the owner of a shoe store in Oakland: Gibling’s Footwear. So she always is helping her friends choose their new shoes. She likes to choose the best shoes in the store for them. Her devotion towards others does not stop with friends, as she is loyal to her family and the family shoe business as well, and helps out as much as possible.

Peter Huntley is kind, thoughtful, smart, well-meaning, but goofy, shy, and over-sensitive at first. He can be naive and silly, but he’s always very kind-hearted and polite and pleasant. He has a sweet tooth, as his favorite food is cookies. He also loves baking cookies, too. He has a talent for music, and always sings and writes songs. He also plays the guitar. Even though he has Asperger’s Syndrome, he’s not all like other Asperger’s people. Which is odd since he’s a 6 yr.old. He’s not a know-it-all, and he’s more flexible than other kids with Asperger’s and he’s not impulsive. He doesn’t boss people around or throw a tantrum, but he always finds a positive way to solve problems. He’s always thinking, always imagining. And his thoughts are always positive. And that is the lesson of Peter Huntley’s character. Through his journey, Peter will gain experience to go with his patience, kindness, positive thinking and gentle wisdom.

Slider is an excited cool dude who loves skateboarding, video games, and outdoor activities. She can be a bad sport and is really competitive. But she’s really a nice kid. Known for having braces on her teeth and a wide grin, she loves to play and have fun! Because, in her words, “That’s why Sliders are the best!” Slider is a prankster and can get carried away on April Fool’s Day. She likes people to be just like her. She can also be a picky eater. In one scene she says, “Sliders don’t like spinach!” but then she tries it and realizes she DOES love it! Slider is 6 years old. She lives with her mother and father at 57 Skateboard Lane, Oakland, NJ.

The main antagonist of the story, he is a selfish and heartless jerk and has a tendency to bully Peter and his friends. Even though his real name is Nicholas Quentin Froth, he likes to call himself “The Big Bad Bully.”
