Casting Actors in Chicago for LGBTQ Film Project

Scene from Tower Town

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Type: Film

Looking for two males in their mid to late 20s to shoot a scene between two friends who are experiencing the highs and lows of the LGBTQ nightlife in mid-90s Chicago.

The scene revolves around Scotty, who is coming to the end of his life, struggling with AIDS, as well as addictions. Scotty lies in a bathtub full of dirty water, after being up for 2 days on a drug binge. His best friend, Zak, comes to check up on him, and they have an intense conversation.

This is an unpaid, non-union shoot, but the benefit would be for the actors to have a solid movie scene shot on a high-quality film camera for their demo reel. Auditions will be held Sunday, April 9th, from 1pm to 6pm at Brella Productions in Evanston. Our goal is to rehearse and shoot the scene sometime between late April and mid May. If interested, please email a headshot, a link to a demo reel, and/or a link to a dramatic monologue to davidallencottrell@gmail.com .
