Casting an independent drama/thriller film noir. Synopsis: A detective with severe PTSD is on a case to track a serial killer. He feels like he has him at every turn, but then loses him. The killer is so close at most times and then is two steps ahead. He thinks it is because of his PTSD, that consists of occasional memory loss and the occasional blackout, brought on by drinking and drug use. It is apparent to his police captain that there is something wrong, considering he’s rarely in the station and has just had a traumatic experience months earlier.
Throughout the film, he is in a bit of a game of cat and mouse with a killer who is the sole reason for his PTSD and the deaths of many in the city. He is also struggling with his PTSD, coping poorly and walking on the dark side. Production states: “This film will be in film festivals in the upcoming year.”
Auditions will be held Friday August 25th, 11:50-2 at The Second City Training Center, 230 W. North Avenue Room 209, Chicago, IL. You’re more than welcome to come audition. Come prepared with a dramatic monologue, no longer than one minute.
