Chained for Life is an art horror movie inspired by Altman and Lynch starring Jess Weixler (Teeth), Adam Pearson (Under the Skin) and Stephen Plunkett (The Mend). It’s the 2nd feature by director Aaron Schimberg (whose first film Go Down Death was released by Factory 25 in 2014).
The film is a dark comedy about the making of a fictional art-house horror film in which actors with physical differences have been cast to play “freaks”. Acting gigs like this are routine for them, and off-camera they commiserate about how their counterparts treat them. One night, they decide to swipe the film’s camera equipment after-hours and make their own film.
