All roles paid. Cast housing available if needed for run of contract (Sept. 17 – Oct. 21) Rehearsals (nightly) Sept. 17 – 28. Performances Sept. 29 – Oct. 21 on Wed/Sat afternoons and Fri/Sat nights.
The role of Leonard Vole has been cast. All other roles available for actors 18+. Ages listed below are stage ages (age you can portray on stage). Show requires all actors (but one) to have British accents.
Sir Wilfred Robarts: (40+) Queens Counsel. Very able, kindly.
Mr. Myers: (40+) Q.C. Lawyer for the prosecution in Leonard’s trial. Very precise, determined he’s right.
Mr. Mayhew: (20+) Mayhew is the solicitor Leonard consults. He assists Sir Wilfred in pre-trial questioning. Nice man, very particular, good knowledge of the law.
Romaine: (30 +) Leonard’s “wife,” Foreign, stately, somewhat reserved, a bit daunting. Believable German accent.
Justice Wainwright: (30/40+) The Judge is very dignified, a bit acerbic, knows his law.
Mr. Carter/Clerk of the Court (20+) Carter is a bit of a fuss budget, Sir Wilfred’s chief clerk.
Janet Mackenzie: (20+) A Scotswoman, the murdered woman’s housekeeper. Hates Leonard and not afraid to show it. Scottish accent a must.
Inspector Hearne/Policeperson: (20’s +) Dignified professional detective. Policeperson the same, but change of accent. Could be male or female.
Greta: (20’s)) Sir Wilfred’s secretary, attractive, a bit ditzy, unjustifiably full of herself.
Dr. Wyatt: (any age or gender) Pathologist giving testimony in court.
The Other Woman: (18 – 25) Very pretty. A tiny role but essential to the story line.
Plain clothes detective/Clegg: (any age) Male or female. Clegg is an assistant in the forensics lab – gives testimony.
