Open Auditions in Maine for Stranger Than Fiction Improv Troupe

01/21/2017

Stranger Than Fiction Improv & Comedy’s 2017 Season.

Location: Kittery, ME

Type: Theater

New Hampshire’s premier improv troupe Stranger Than Fiction is holding annual auditions! No experience is necessary, but you must be 18 or older!

Improv consists of scenes and games that are entirely made up on the spot based on audience suggestion – think Whose Line is it Anyway? Improv is one of the most creative and exciting ways to be involved in theater. We perform shows at both the Players’ Ring and Seacoast Repertory Theatre in Portsmouth, NH.

There is no pressure to “be funny” – we only ask that you attend auditions ready to play and imagine. Improv is a collective experience that thrives on the contributions made by everyone onstage. We will be looking for people who are excellent listeners, and who can support their fellow scene partners.

Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear, you will be moving around! We politely ask that ladies do not wear skirts unless you can wear shorts underneath. Bring water to stay hydrated. If you have a head shot and resume, please bring them to auditions. If you do not, we have paperwork to fill out day of and will snap a quick photo before we begin.

I need some audition castings in Michigan, I work full time and would need days to travel to these destinations, I appreciate seeing what I can’t get to audition, just kidding but it is discouraging!
