As a real estate agent, Paula Anderson has successfully reached the peak of her career, except she has no family to share it with. At 28 years old, she has been longing to get married and raise a child of her own, but the right man has yet to come along. One day, Paula unexpectedly bumps into Samantha, her former Sunday school student who she hasn’t seen for 10 years. Samantha has grown into a rebellious confused and strong willed young lady who is constantly skipping class and fighting with her mother. Will she finally get her life back on track? Will Paula finally find love? And receive the family that she always wanted?
The Protégé is an independent feature film being submitted to festivals. If festivals do not end in sale, the producers will self-distribute.
GRACE (7, F, Mixed Race / Spanish) is an energetic girl, full of life and very bubbly. She is adjusting to the new news that she is adopted, but loves her parents and the family unit they’ve built for her, which shows at Christmas dinner. (Speaking role, 10-20 lines)
BRANDON (30, M, Any Ethnicity.) is very athletic and very handsome. At Christmas dinner he and Dianne happily announce their engagement. (Speaking role, 2-10 lines)
