University of Texas indie film project is seeking actors and actresses in the Austin Texas area for non-union short film “The Closet.” Please note that all roles are non-paid.
“The Closet” – Trying to keep up with his friends and new high school social pressures, Grant reluctantly joins a game of spin the bottle at a party in hopes of getting his first kiss.
Shooting Dates: March 3rd, 4th, and 5th
Commitment: 3 scheduled rehearsals; 2 studio rehearsals and 1 on-location rehearsal.
Character Bios:
GRANT – male, any ethnicity, age 14-15. Average young teenager, gamer, not quite ready to grow up but feels social pressure to do so.
MATTY – female, any ethnicity, age 14-15. Innocent, comfortable in her own skin, a little bit of a tomboy.
LISA – female, any ethnicity, age 14-18. Typical popular girl, more innocent than she appears.
JACKSON – male, any ethnicity, age 14-18, high school student. Cool kid with asshole tendencies, enjoys being the center of attention.
EXTRA – Other party goers
Audition Dates: Feb 3rd, 2017 3:00pm-6:00pm and Feb 4th, 2017 2:00pm-
5:00pm
at CMB Building of University of Texas, Austin. 2504 Whitis Avenue
All ethnicities are encouraged to apply! Looking for actors to appear young, but do not need to realistically meet ages. Walk-ins welcome!
