Fig Dauphine – Fig is a ten-year-old fortuneteller who lives in the French Quarter with her lesbian mother and their two tenants, a young, African-American artist and her teenage brother (Fig’s sidekick). Fig is the heroine of this girl power story. She’s a detective in this black comedy, who is faced with a dead body and its ghost, fights off comic gangsters, and deals with her mother abandoning her for the week to go be with her new girlfriend. Looking for a southern accent! Good singing voice a plus!! *This is a very big roll and requires a big commitment!

Robeson – Robeson is the nineteen-year-old sidekick and protector of Fig, the heroine of the story. He’s an African-American, endearing, wise-cracker artist, and a bit of a slacker. This is a big part and requires a big commitment! Great showcase for new, young actor!

Venus – a sexy, tough, gypsy gangster.

Soutine – a lovely young woman who works in a shop in the French Quarter.

Fig’s Father/Goran – This is a dual role as the characters are identical twins. Both men are gypsy gangsters living in New Orleans. One is somewhat mysterious, the other heartless. One has a cryptic, comic death scene. Long hair preferred.
