LOGLINE: Leslie, an emotional wreck finds the courage to confront her past abuser, only to find herself in a more troubled place.
SYNOPSIS:
Meet Leslie Tank, an eighteen-year-old young woman who’s on her way to college. Leslie comes with a bag of childhood abuse from her mother, Kathy Tank. She has avoided that fire of pain that burns inside her soul. Until one day Leslie is placed in a situation where she must face her abuser.
Roles:
LESLIE TANK, 18, a woman who suffered from childhood abuse. She has buried that pain deep within her soul and suffers from occasional depression.
KATHY TANK, early 40’s, a woman with a past that caused a wedge between her and her daughter Leslie. She suffered from the emptiness of Leslie’s father walking out of her life.
Tara Tank, late 30’s, a woman who has put her life on hold to raise her sister’s daughter to avoid her being placed in foster care. Tara tries her best to hold in her emotions, but sometimes it gets the best of her.
Michelle, 18, the best friend of Leslie who supports Leslie’s decisions and has always been a part of her life. Michelle has a calm spirit and plays no games.
CLERK, 20’S – 40’s, she works at the boutique and has a pleasant attitude. OPEN
