LOGLINE: After giving up a baby for adoption, a young woman is invited to her child’s 1st birthday party where she struggles to reconnect with the adoptive parents and her little girl.
LOOKING FOR:
ALLY, female (18) is outspoken, headstrong, and conflicted young girl. However, she reinvents herself at college. Now she’s outgoing, funny, and charismatic- but this new persona takes a back seat when Ally returns home for an opportunity to confront her past. At home, Ally is scared.
CARMEN, female (40’s) After her husband left, Carmen was forced to raise her daughter Ally on her own. Carmen comes off as uptight and controlling. She cares for her daughter but has a hard time showing it. Although Camen does not come off as intelligent, she understand the difficulties of motherhood and raising a child.
