The Facade

AUDITIONS for a short film called The Facade. It will be submitted for next year’s Austin Film Festival. Auditions will be held October 20th at the Pearl Theater
SYNOPSIS: Two brothers share an apartment and do almost everything together, including running through the nearby park every morning. The younger brother begins to fall for a woman he sees daily at the park, and finds out she’s been falling for him too. Our hero is insecure due to his current financial status though, and begins to live a very expensive lie by using his rich friend’s house. It blows up in his face once his love interest finds out the truth, and he has to find a way to win her back before it’s too late for their chance at love.
We are looking for six actors:
Albert (Al): The lead male, African American in his early 20’s with an athletic build.
James: Al’s older brother, African American in his mid-20’s with an athletic build.
Amanda: The lead female, Caucasian in her early 20’s, with a slim and athletic build.
Terrance: Amanda’s ex in his early 20’s; any ethnicity and build.
Michael: Al and James’ best friend in his 20’s; any ethnicity and build.
Jessica: Amanda’s best friend in her 20’s; any ethnicity and build.
